Math for Moms and Dads: Introducing Your Child to Fractions
Learn a child friendly way to formally introduce fractions to your child. This session will use manipulatives to develop a sense of the important topics and processes in beginning fractions in our parent/teachers. Learn fractions yourself, and then teach it to your child step by step. Resources are provided.
Patterns In Arithmetic: Fractions - Booklets 1 and 2
Math for Moms and Dads: Teaching Fractions Procedures to Your Child
Learn concrete ways to understand basic fractions procedures such as equivalence, simplification, and multiplication. Develop your own understanding and then teach it to your child. We will show you how to use manipulatives and concrete experience to develop understanding of critical procedures in fractions and general mathematics.
